Guest Designer Tatiana Yemelyanenko

Hi! We're thrilled to have our September Challenge Winner Tatiana Yemelyanenko as a Guest Designer today! Enjoy her take on the October Challenge!

My name is Tatiana Yemelyanenko. I'm from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. I fell in love with scrapbooking and mixed media in the end of 2011 and now I'm totally addicted. I love that scrapbooking helps me to capture the moments of my life and brings feeling of creativity in ordinary days. I like to experiment with different styles and techniques and use mists, paints, texture pastes and stencils in my projects.

I was inspired by the photo in the right corner of the October Mood Board and tried to recreate a fall mood with colors and embellishments.

The background was created with different mists, glitter and stamping.

I cut leaves, pumpkins and branches on a Silhouette, added wooden embellishments and chipboard which were covered with Jacquard and Luminarte paints.

The journalling I hid in the branches.

This time of year is about celebrating the breathtaking array of colors and textures and the sense of change and anticipation that is evident all around us. We want to see how you are falling for Autumn!

You have a couple of hours left to join us this month! There are some amazing prizes up for grabs!

--Mood Board from Pocketful of Dreams--
I envisioned this "Autumn Fairy"  to look exotic and beautiful.

I added the little journaling to her flowing sash that reads "Believe in Magic" from 7 Dots Studio "Love is in the Air" Collection click here.
Below shows a better view of the scroll chipboard from Creative Embellishments.
I used colored pencils on the digital leaves and I heat embossed the chipboard.  I then added some paints.
Here is a collage showing how I started with the rough sketch on a 12x12 scrapbook paper.
and lastly I will be adding her to my Facebook cover page.  I did some photoshop on her using PicMonkey...

Altered Autumn Frame By Kay

Hello Berry71Bleu fans!  Kay here with my take on this month's challenge hosted by fellow DT member Dana Tatar.  Autumn is my favorite season...it's full of change, crisp mornings, colorful foliage & pumpkin everything!!  Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie...love it all!!  I'm particularly fond of Autumn since it's the season that I was married in & also when my son was born.

This month I decided to salvage a picture frame I found at my local Hobby Lobby that was on clearance.  I loved the colors & knew that I could add my own personal touch to it in order to turn it into an Autumn themed frame.  So when this challenge came along--it was the perfect opportunity to put my plan into action.

This is the colorful Autumn mood board for this month's challenge.  Just loved the colors on this one!

The frame is fairly large--measuring about 11" inches wide by 13" inches tall.  It holds a 5" x 7" photo.  I combined two photos to create a 5" x 7" collage.  Both photos were taken in the same place around the same time of year but 6 years apart.  My husband & I love to travel next door to Pocono Pines, PA to this little cozy bed & breakfast for our wedding anniversary.  It's a tradition we started when we celebrated our very first anniversary.  Whenever we go we take a photo in the same spot that is located by a lake with beautiful foliage in the background.  I thought it'd be wonderful to show a 'then & now' photo.  The first photo was taken in 2008 which was when we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary.  The second photo was taken just last weekend.  This was the first year we traveled to this bed & breakfast with our son.

By adding a couple of Autumn themed embellishments--the frame was transformed into one that could compliment my photo perfectly.

I printed out several of the mini trees by Jellypark onto plain white card stock.  I then added several colors onto them by dabbing Distress Inks onto a non porous surface, spritzing water onto the ink & smearing the printed stamps directly onto the ink.  I dried the paper with my heat gun, cut the images out & then adhered them to my berry pick.

This Autumn themed butterfly is from my Etsy shop.  I have several Autumn themed butterflies in my shop since as previously mentioned--I'm a big fan of Fall!

I adhered two little acorns in the corner & highlighted the dots on the frame with clear Stickles.

Hope you enjoy my interpretation of this months challenge & that this small project inspires some of you to take a second look at those frames found in the clearance section!

May Your Days be Golden by Cathi O'Neill

This month there is a delicious mood board created by Dana Tatar. This time of year is about celebrating the breathtaking array of colors and textures and the sense of change and anticipation that is evident all around us. We want to see how you are falling for Autumn!

Hi Cathi here!! I based my layout on the gorgeous colors and flowers in the moodboard. The photos are of my daughter last year posing amongst the fallen leaves here locally in Ireland. I added tons of flowers from my stash in gorgeous autumnal tones and even some Petaloo blackberries, which are always plentiful in Autumn here!

Here you can see some of the flowers and branches I added to my cluster and some gorgeous chipboard pieces from the Molossi Brick Wall Panel. I inked them in a beautiful red gold.

Here are some more gorgeous flowers in my cluster, more Molossi Brick Wall Panel pieces, and you can see where I printed the  Jellypark Four Trees Digital Stamp onto some of my BoBunny Autumn Song pattern papers and tucked them into my cluster like beautiful autumn leaves.

I added a bit of masking using white molding paste to add a little background character and added some stickers from the BoBunny collection.

I really loved putting together this gorgeous autumn colored layout and
I hope you can find the time to join us this month! There are some amazing prizes up for grabs!
